After 9 played minutes Bogalusa FC got a freekick which was hit by Shelton Shelton. Sora AFC's Pablo Holloway got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sora AFC's Raul Meyer got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 17 minutes into the match, Willard Vogel notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Sora AFC's Oswaldo Lemons. Oswaldo Lemons was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Rolando Sylvester had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Randy Chacon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. David Galindo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Raul Meyer struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. David Galindo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sora AFC. Bogalusa FC's David Galindo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Bogalusa FC from getting a goal against them. Raul Meyer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but David Galindo made a huge save. C.J. French in the 31stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of David Galindo, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. David Galindo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of C.J. French's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. David Galindo made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Raul Meyer sent off a good shot on target. In the 38th minute, Willard Vogel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Randy Chacon came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Sora AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Randy Chacon couldn't finish the play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When Ian Saunders came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Sora AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ian Saunders couldn't finish the play. After 55 minutes of play Bogalusa FC's Shelton Shelton was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Shelton Shelton hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Rolando Sylvester managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sora AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Rolando Sylvester was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. David Galindo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Randy Chacon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. If C.J. French had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling C.J. French in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck David Galindo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sora AFC's Terry Whitehead got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Bogalusa FC's zone, C.J. French stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. David Galindo came out of the goal and C.J. French tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sora AFC's Ian Saunders got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Rolando Sylvester managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sora AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Rolando Sylvester was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. David Galindo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Bogalusa FC booed when Sora AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ian Saunders didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Marshall Hairston fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bogalusa FC's protests and gave Marshall Hairston a yellow card for diving instead. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Sora AFC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
