Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Ollie Valdez hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Walter Pitts fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lenny MacDowell having to interfere. Arnoldo Cooper succeeded in the game's 16th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. 24 minutes into the match, Ravenswood FC's goal looked a bit too open when Calvin Shook came free, but Mckinley Hoyt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 27th minute, Neil Weiss hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Ravenswood FC's Matt Riggs got a free kick in the 29th minute. Mckinley Hoyt was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bryon Escobar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 48 minutes, Calvin Shook mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cross City and the Ravenswood FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Calvin Shook hit a great freekick 49 minutes into the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bryon Escobar to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Ravenswood FC booed when Cross City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Val Dobson didn't get a good kick on the ball. When James Duke fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ravenswood FC's protests and gave James Duke a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Cross City booed when Ravenswood FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. James Duke didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Calvin Shook had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Calvin Shook could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Mckinley Hoyt made a huge save. Calvin Shook sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 95 minutes into the match, Calvin Shook had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mckinley Hoyt. Ravenswood FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Calvin Shook was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Cross City played a much better game than Ravenswood FC and deserved their victory. The Ravenswood FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
