French made the kick off which started today's match. 2 minutes into the game, Tracey Kitchen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cross City's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sora AFC the free kick. Sora AFC's Raul Meyer got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Oswaldo Lemons showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bryon Escobar in the 9th minute of the match. Lenny MacDowell stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of C.J. French's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling C.J. French in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lenny MacDowell prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Tracey Kitchen was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 14 minutes had been played. Lenny MacDowell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raul Meyer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Cross City getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Walker Garcia hit a great ball. After 23 played minutes, Sora AFC's C.J. French shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Lenny MacDowell came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sora AFC reached it. In the 24th minute, Calvin Shook got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lenny MacDowell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from C.J. French in the 27th minute of the match. Rolando Sylvester blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lenny MacDowell having to make a save. Randy Chacon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lenny MacDowell having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by C.J. French in the 38th minute of play forced Cross City's goalkeeper Lenny MacDowell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Raul Meyer struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Lenny MacDowell didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sora AFC. In the 42nd minute C.J. French shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lenny MacDowell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Calvin Shook stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Raul Meyer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lenny MacDowell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Sora AFC defense, Calvin Shook kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Oswaldo Lemons. The Sora AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Oswaldo Lemons should have stopped the shot. After 65 played minutes Cross City got a freekick which was hit by Jamal Pruett. Randy Chacon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A hard shot 69 in the game by C.J. French from a close distance when the talented Lenny MacDowell managed to make a qualified save. Cross City's players were relieved. C.J. French fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lenny MacDowell having to interfere. Lenny MacDowell made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Raul Meyer sent off a good shot on target. Rolando Sylvester sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With his leg Lenny MacDowell managed to avoid a goal in the 79thth minute, when Sora AFC's C.J. French fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Terry Whitehead hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. If Rolando Sylvester had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Raul Meyer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute.
