Sora AFC's Oswaldo Lemons played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Walter Pitts in the 13th minute of play. Mckinley Hoyt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rolando Sylvester, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. 15 minutes into the game, Steve Morin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ravenswood FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sora AFC the free kick. The supporters of Sora AFC booed when Ravenswood FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Steve Morin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Raul Meyer struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Mckinley Hoyt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sora AFC. Raul Meyer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Mckinley Hoyt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. C.J. French's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 19thth minute, Mckinley Hoyt skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After a rather tough play, Ravenswood FC's Matt Riggs got a free kick in the 21st minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when C.J. French got free with Mckinley Hoyt in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rolando Sylvester received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Mckinley Hoyt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 31 minutes into the match, Sora AFC's Raul Meyer sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mckinley Hoyt narrowly saved just below the crossbar. C.J. French sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 36 minutes of play, Ravenswood FC's Arnoldo Cooper made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Oswaldo Lemons was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 38 minutes, C.J. French managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sora AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but C.J. French was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When C.J. French came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Sora AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that C.J. French couldn't finish the play. Pablo Holloway charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pablo Holloway the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Pablo Holloway kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Walter Pitts to make the kick off. After 53 minutes, Raul Meyer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sora AFC and the Ravenswood FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Sora AFC's Raul Meyer got a free kick in the 54th minute. Mckinley Hoyt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raul Meyer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Ravenswood FC getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Arnoldo Cooper hit a great ball. In the 58th match minute, Sora AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anton Greene to maneuver through the defense. Mckinley Hoyt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from C.J. French in the 62nd minute of play. C.J. French struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Mckinley Hoyt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. After having played for 71 minutes, Rolando Sylvester managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sora AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rolando Sylvester was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 73rd minute, Raul Meyer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Ravenswood FC's zone, C.J. French stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mckinley Hoyt came out of the goal and C.J. French tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sora AFC's Ian Saunders got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Raul Meyer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mckinley Hoyt having to interfere. In the 84th minute, C.J. French got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Raul Meyer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Mckinley Hoyt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Raul Meyer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. C.J. French fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mckinley Hoyt having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers C.J. French in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mckinley Hoyt saved Ravenswood FC from getting behind. In the 94th minute Randy Chacon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mckinley Hoyt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 95th minute, Randy Chacon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ravenswood FC were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Sora AFC's much stronger midfield.
