Seating: 1489, VIP seats: 11) DC united's Ace Tipton started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Raul Meyer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Terry Whitehead had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in DC united's zone, C.J. French stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Virgilio Cummins came out of the goal and C.J. French tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. C.J. Frenchs short, quick shot in the 17thth minute got Virgilio Cummins to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 22 minutes, Luciano Hale mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the DC united and the Sora AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. C.J. French, 23 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. When Adrian Hobbs fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored DC united's protests and gave Adrian Hobbs a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to DC united getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Adrian Hobbs hit a great ball. C.J. French could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Virgilio Cummins made a huge save. C.J. French sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Raul Meyer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Virgilio Cummins having to interfere. Rolando Sylvester sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Anton Greene struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Virgilio Cummins didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sora AFC. After having played for 43 minutes, Rolando Sylvester managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sora AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rolando Sylvester was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. C.J. French in the 44thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Virgilio Cummins, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Raul Meyer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when C.J. French stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, DC united's goal looked a bit too open when C.J. French came free, but Virgilio Cummins reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 56th minute of the match Henry Hendricks shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Oswaldo Lemons showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Oswaldo Lemons made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pierre Coronado in the 60th minute of play. C.J. French fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Virgilio Cummins having to interfere. In the 68th minute Rolando Sylvester shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Virgilio Cummins saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. C.J. French fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Virgilio Cummins having to interfere. In the 74thth minute of the game C.J. French who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but DC united's Virgilio Cummins was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Virgilio Cummins stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of C.J. French's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. After a rather tough play, Sora AFC's Randy Chacon got a free kick in the 79th minute. After having played for 82 minutes, Luciano Hale managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. DC united's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luciano Hale was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Virgilio Cummins took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raul Meyer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Virgilio Cummins stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of C.J. French's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. C.J. French received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Virgilio Cummins tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Rolando Sylvester had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 94 minutes, Rolando Sylvester managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sora AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rolando Sylvester was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling C.J. French in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Virgilio Cummins prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the referee ended the match the Sora AFC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
