After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Curt Camacho managed to get in a good position for a shot. East Falmouth's supporters rose to their feet, but Curt Camacho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stanford Magee breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 12th minute Dallas Ross shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Logan Christopher saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 14 minutes of play, East Falmouth's Curt Camacho made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Stanford Magee was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 19th match minute, Statesboro Impact was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Berry Wood to maneuver through the defense. East Falmouth's Dylan Becker got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Troy Purcell recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 30 minutes, Logan Christopher successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Logan Christopher took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Troy Purcell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Troy Purcell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Troy Purcell to make the kick off. In the 54th minute Dario Burns shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Logan Christopher saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Troy Purcell's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Logan Christopher was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. If Curt Camacho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Curt Camacho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stanford Magee having to interfere. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind Statesboro Impact's goalkeeper Stanford Magee, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Elliott Jewell hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Statesboro Impact's Troy Purcell got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. East Falmouth walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
