Seating: 1769, VIP seats: 0) RA Construction's Daron Lane started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Cliff Love kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Sterling Landis charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sterling Landis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 7th match minute, RA Construction was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sterling Landis to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in FC Chicago's zone, Raymond Barnett stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Werner Meyer came out of the goal and Raymond Barnett tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Grady Larkin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Bryan Dunham fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored RA Construction's protests and gave Bryan Dunham a yellow card for diving instead. 22 minutes into the game, FC Chicago's Grady Larkin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Chase Sampson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Raymond Barnett recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Winfred Pritchett struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Werner Meyer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for RA Construction. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind RA Construction's goalkeeper Chase Sampson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When FC Chicago's Jaime Ryan in the 41st minute got a chance for a shot 41st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye RA Construction's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of FC Chicago booed when RA Construction was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Winfred Pritchett didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Daron Lane fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored RA Construction's protests and gave Daron Lane a yellow card for diving instead. In the 46th minute, Daron Lane hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FC Chicago's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jarrod Hemphill in the 49th minute. FC Chicago's Jarrod Hemphill was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Chase Sampson in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jaime Ryan to make the kick off. Chase Sampson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Grady Larkin in the 53rd minute of the match. Chase Sampson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Grady Larkin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FC Chicago's Jaime Ryan got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Heriberto Burkett was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 64 minutes had been played. In the 65th minute, Heriberto Burkett hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 69th minute, Jaime Ryan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of FC Chicago booed when RA Construction was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daron Lane didn't get a good kick on the ball. Grady Larkin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chase Sampson having to interfere. RA Construction's Chase Sampson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Grady Larkin in the 91st minute of play. In the 92nd minute, Jarrod Hemphill hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, FC Chicago's Werner Meyer got control of the ball when Raymond Barnett tried to sneak it across the goal line. FC Chicago's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
