Curt Camacho might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alfred Lucas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Curt Camacho ran back to his position shaking his head. Jose Avery sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. East Falmouth's Logan Christopher played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jose Avery in the 20th minute of play. Dylan Becker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Alfred Lucas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 27th match minute, Chino Hills was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Foster Vaughan to maneuver through the defense. In the 34th minute Jose Avery shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Logan Christopher saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Logan Christopher showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jose Avery in the 35th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Bill Dawkins managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chino Hills's supporters rose to their feet, but Bill Dawkins was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Logan Christopher breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 38th minute, one of East Falmouth:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for East Falmouth. J.P. Britton shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. When Chino Hills's Jose Avery in the 44th minute got a chance for a shot 44th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye East Falmouth's goalie prevented a goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dylan Becker to make the kick off. Logan Christopher took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jose Avery, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jose Avery struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Larry Whitfield sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Bill Dawkins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Chino Hills booed when East Falmouth was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enoch Gallo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 94th minute Dylan Becker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfred Lucas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. East Falmouth had won after a very even match.
