Though ot was a great shot Bennington's keeper Ross Aragon was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. The referee felt a red card was in order, 21 minutes into the game, when John Finn put in a rough tackle. Dean Begay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Ross Aragon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Dean Begay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eric Odell might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Trent Cooper. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eric Odell ran back to his position shaking his head. Eric Odell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dean Begay got free with Ross Aragon in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Willy Pryor scored 0-2 in the 45th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Trent Cooper, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dean Begay to strike the kick off in the second half. Ross Aragon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dean Begay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bennington's Ross Aragon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dean Begay in the 92nd minute of play. Chants of Bennington echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Clarendon AFC had held the ball for most of the match.
