Houston Beard showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mickey Langston in the 32nd minute of the match. Derick Moon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sandy Craft in the 36th minute of play. Derick Moon was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Sandy Craft showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 38 minute of play. Sandy Craft received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Derick Moon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Mickey Langston in the 57thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Houston Beard, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 58th minute Ronald Pike shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Houston Beard saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind Attalla's goalkeeper Houston Beard, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Houston Beard stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ronald Pike's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. 65 minutes into the match, Sandy Craft had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Derick Moon. ShoTek UTD's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sandy Craft was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Derick Moon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sandy Craft, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 72 minutes into the match, ShoTek UTD's goal looked a bit too open when Sandy Craft came free, but Derick Moon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Toby Izturis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Attalla's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
