Spectators: 7703 (Terracing: 5779, Seating: 1771, VIP seats: 153) The audience was convinced that Wade Quinones's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Houston Beard was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. Houston Beard came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by Wellston AFC's Wade Quinones. But to his dismay, Wade Quinones quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Wade Quinones fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Houston Beard having to interfere. Toby Izturis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Attalla's Houston Beard played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martin Bass in the 24th minute of play. If Toby Izturis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Wellston AFC's Stacy Hatch got a free kick in the 30th minute. Wellston AFC's Gabriel Mallory proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Wellston AFC from getting a goal against them. Houston Beard took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martin Bass, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wade Quinones scored 0-3 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Houston Beard, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Wellston AFC's Gabriel Mallory proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Wellston AFC from getting a goal against them. With an all-out effort, Attalla's Gabriel Mallory threw himself towards the right post 40 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Sandy Craft, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. If Sandy Craft had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Attalla booed when Wellston AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rupert Quinn didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alonzo Romero, 48 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wade Quinones to make the kick off. Toby Izturis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Gabriel Mallory tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Houston Beard didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 55th minute, which inside left pole to 0-4. With an all-out effort, Wellston AFC's Houston Beard threw himself towards the right post 61 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Wade Quinones, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Toby Izturis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 65 minutes into the game, Wade Quinones recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Houston Beard. Wade Quinones showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-5. When Wellston AFC's Wade Quinones in the 69th minute got a chance for a shot 69th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Attalla's goalie prevented a goal. In the 71st minute, Sandy Craft had to leave the field with a concussion. 71 minutes into the game, Ross Randolph was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Wellston AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Attalla the free kick. In the 73rd minute, Ross Randolph hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 75th minute of the match Moses Velasco sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gabriel Mallory skillfully saved the ball. Attalla's Houston Beard proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Attalla from getting a goal against them. Martin Bass struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Houston Beard didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wellston AFC. Wade Quinones sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 95th minute Wade Quinones shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Houston Beard saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
