Seating: 1750, VIP seats: 150) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Joseph Marsh made the kick off which started today's match. In the 2nd match minute, Cincinnati Strikers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilfred Romo to maneuver through the defense. Alistair Acuna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joseph Marsh in the 4th minute of the match. Alistair Acuna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joseph Marsh, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Alistair Acuna stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ross Livingston's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. Alistair Acuna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joseph Marsh in the 10th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Son Ware in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck A.J. Woodruff prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Independent Outdoor Union's A.J. Woodruff played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Son Ware in the 17th minute of play. When Son Ware came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Cincinnati Strikers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Son Ware couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Daren Atkinson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cincinnati Strikers's supporters rose to their feet, but Daren Atkinson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. A.J. Woodruff breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alistair Acuna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ross Livingston, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Raphael Rivas struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Alistair Acuna didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Independent Outdoor Union. Joseph Marsh recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Independent Outdoor Union's Pedro Sanchez was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Alistair Acuna in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After recieving a nice pass, Independent Outdoor Union's Raphael Rivas tried to score from far away in the 34th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. If Christian Durham had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
55 minutes into the match, Independent Outdoor Union's goal looked a bit too open when Son Ware came free, but A.J. Woodruff reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Independent Outdoor Union defense, Daren Atkinson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of A.J. Woodruff. The Independent Outdoor Union fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that A.J. Woodruff should have stopped the shot. 71 minutes into the match, Cincinnati Strikers's goalkeeper Alistair Acuna had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ross Livingston. If Raphael Rivas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ross Livingston sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A nice corner shot did that Pedro Sanchez got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Alistair Acuna quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Alistair Acuna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joseph Marsh, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. After 84 played minutes Independent Outdoor Union got a freekick which was hit by Reyes Shipley. Alistair Acuna made an important save on a dangerous shot by Christian Durham in the 94th minute. Joseph Marsh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Alistair Acuna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
