Rich Lawson might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tod Cameron. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rich Lawson ran back to his position shaking his head. Daryl Stephens could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Erik Cabrera made a huge save. When Waialua's Rich Lawson in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Motor City Football Club's goalie prevented a goal. In the 28th match minute, Motor City Football Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arnold Larkin to maneuver through the defense. Rich Lawson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tod Cameron having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Timothy Holzer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Waialua's supporters rose to their feet, but Timothy Holzer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tod Cameron breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rich Lawson took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tod Cameron. Tod Cameron dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Otto Bocanegra received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Erik Cabrera came out and tried to block the shot, but Otto Bocanegra slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 38th minute. 41 minutes into the game, Rocky Shirley was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Waialua's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Motor City Football Club the free kick. In the 41st minute, Rocky Shirley hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Waialua getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Earl Strange hit a great ball. The long shot by Virgilio Dent in the 46th minute really tested Erik Cabrera's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

After a defensive mix-up in Waialua's zone, Daryl Stephens stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erik Cabrera came out of the goal and Daryl Stephens tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Otto Bocanegra scored 2-1 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Erik Cabrera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 57 minutes into the match, Motor City Football Club's goalkeeper Tod Cameron had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Timothy Holzer. Motor City Football Club's Otto Bocanegra got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Timothy Holzer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Timothy Holzer's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Tod Cameron firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 67thth minute of the game Rich Lawson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Motor City Football Club's Tod Cameron was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 68th minute, Christopher Flood hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Otto Bocanegra's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Erik Cabrera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. Tod Cameron showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rich Lawson in the 74th minute of the match. A hard shot 81 in the game by Timothy Holzer from a close distance when the talented Tod Cameron managed to make a qualified save. Motor City Football Club's players were relieved. Lonnie Lusk took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 83rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Tod Cameron. Motor City Football Club's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The referee felt a red card was in order, 90 minutes into the game, when Christopher Flood put in a rough tackle. After 89 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Motor City Football Club! Tod Cameron went to the wrong direction when Timothy Holzer was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. 97 minutes into the match, Motor City Football Club's goal looked a bit too open when Rich Lawson came free, but Tod Cameron reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Motor City Football Club had won after a very even match.
