Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Jessie Magee got the match started through his kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Ross Livingston managed to get in a good position for a shot. Independent Outdoor Union's supporters rose to their feet, but Ross Livingston was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sanford Benjamin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A.J. Woodruff came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Motagua's Wilfred Courtney. But to his dismay, Wilfred Courtney quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Manuel Abraham might have been able to make a better finish in the 9th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over A.J. Woodruff. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Manuel Abraham ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 10th minute, Raphael Rivas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 15 minutes, Jessie Magee managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Motagua's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jessie Magee was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jessie Magee might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over A.J. Woodruff. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jessie Magee ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 23rdth minute of the game Jessie Magee who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Independent Outdoor Union's A.J. Woodruff was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 27th minute, Joseph Marsh made a precise shot to the right of Sanford Benjamin. FC Motagua's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. In the 29th match minute, FC Motagua was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilfred Courtney to maneuver through the defense. Joseph Marsh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 32nd minute, Joseph Marsh made a precise shot to the right of Sanford Benjamin. FC Motagua's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Manuel Abraham received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. A.J. Woodruff tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A.J. Woodruff showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jessie Magee, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Independent Outdoor Union's A.J. Woodruff played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jessie Magee in the 43rd minute of play. Manuel Abraham kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match.

FC Motagua's Jessie Magee got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joseph Marsh in the 60th minute of play forced FC Motagua's goalkeeper Sanford Benjamin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 61st match minute, FC Motagua was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Winfred Greene to maneuver through the defense. Sanford Benjamin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joseph Marsh in the 62nd minute of play. FC Motagua's Sanford Benjamin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joseph Marsh in the 69th minute of play. Jessie Magee received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. A.J. Woodruff tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ross Livingston fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sanford Benjamin having to interfere. Sanford Benjamin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joseph Marsh, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Manuel Abraham had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Manuel Abraham came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the FC Motagua fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Manuel Abraham couldn't finish the play. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
