The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ross Livingston received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Lucero Antoine tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lucero Antoine took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ross Livingston, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Arslanian FC's Ray Jacobsen got a free kick in the 6th minute. In the 7th minute of the match Pedro Sanchez sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lucero Antoine skillfully saved the ball. Lucero Antoine showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ross Livingston, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Joseph Marsh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucero Antoine having to interfere. Pedro Sanchez hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Willie Knapp recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 31 minutes into the match, Arslanian FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ross Livingston came free, but Lucero Antoine reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Ronny McRae had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Willie Knapp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. A.J. Woodruff tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raphael Rivas in the 47th minute of play forced Arslanian FC's goalkeeper Lucero Antoine to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Arslanian FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Independent Outdoor Union were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Willie Knapp to make the kick off. Thurman Turner kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Lucero Antoine was out of position in the 61 minute of play, and Joseph Marsh capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Joseph Marsh really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. After 65 minutes, Bo Evans mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Arslanian FC and the Independent Outdoor Union players grew even worse after the yellow card. 66 minutes into the match, Arslanian FC's goalkeeper Lucero Antoine had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pedro Sanchez. After a rather tough play, Arslanian FC's Thurman Turner got a free kick in the 70th minute. Pedro Sanchez kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. 78 minutes had been played when some careless play by Independent Outdoor Union's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Bo Evans was slow to take the kick. During this time Arslanian FC's players had a chance to rest. Bo Evans made a great header on Arslanian FC's corner, it was just that Independent Outdoor Union's A.J. Woodruff managed to reach the ball for a save. 80 minutes into the game, Ronny McRae cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. A.J. Woodruff was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 94th minute, Gilberto Christian got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
