Spectators: 7525 (Terracing: 5625, Seating: 1750, VIP seats: 150) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Son Ware made the kick off which started today's match. Alistair Acuna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tyrell Ackerman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daren Atkinson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Wilton Stoddard made a huge save. In the 13th minute, Son Ware got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Daren Atkinson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 17th minute Son Ware shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilton Stoddard saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 19 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Tyrell Ackerman sped through Cincinnati Strikers's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Alistair Acuna. Tyrell Ackerman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tyrese Rosales took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alistair Acuna. Alistair Acuna dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. If Tyrese Rosales had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alistair Acuna didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Val Koenig went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. 35 minutes into the match, Son Ware dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Wilton Stoddard, 1-3. After a defensive mix-up in Cincinnati Strikers's zone, Tyrell Ackerman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alistair Acuna came out of the goal and Tyrell Ackerman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 43rd minute Tyrese Rosales shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alistair Acuna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half FC Barcelona were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tyrell Ackerman to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Son Ware in the 55th minute of play forced FC Barcelona's goalkeeper Wilton Stoddard to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tyrese Rosales fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alistair Acuna having to interfere. Wilton Stoddard made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daren Atkinson in the 67th minute of play. The supporters of Cincinnati Strikers booed when FC Barcelona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfonzo Hearn didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 73 played minutes FC Barcelona got a freekick which was hit by Thanh Charles. When Cincinnati Strikers's Son Ware in the 75th minute got a chance for a shot 75th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Barcelona's goalie prevented a goal. Tyrell Ackerman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cincinnati Strikers's Son Ware got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. FC Barcelona's Tyrese Rosales got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Tyrese Rosales had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jacques Coppack charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jacques Coppack the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Cincinnati Strikers getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Jacques Coppack hit a great ball. Daren Atkinson struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Wilton Stoddard didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cincinnati Strikers. Thanh Charles kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. The Cincinnati Strikers fans' excitement grew in the 97th match minute when Cincinnati Strikers's Son Ware looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The Cincinnati Strikers supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching FC Barcelona's performance. The match ended with a win for FC Barcelona.
