With a little luck, Victory Lakes FC's Derrick Darling got control of the ball when Otto Bocanegra tried to sneak it across the goal line. Otto Bocanegra scored 1-0 in the 10th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Derrick Darling, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Derrick Darling showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tod Harrison in the 18th minute of the match. King Easley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 26 minutes into the match, Victory Lakes FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tod Harrison came free, but Derrick Darling reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Otto Bocanegra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Derrick Darling tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Derrick Darling took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tod Harrison, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Christopher Flood charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Christopher Flood the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 40th match minute, Motor City Football Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christopher Flood to maneuver through the defense. Otto Bocanegra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Derrick Darling tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tod Harrison stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Derrick Darling showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christopher Flood, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. 55 minutes into the game, Motor City Football Club's Tod Harrison nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Derrick Darling made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. After 57 minutes, Sterling Ramey mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Motor City Football Club and the Victory Lakes FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Sterling Ramey kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. 60 minutes into the match, Victory Lakes FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tod Harrison came free, but Derrick Darling reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tod Cameron showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from King Easley, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. In the 77th minute, Otto Bocanegra left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Motor City Football Club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. King Easley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Tod Cameron tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 82 minutes into the match, Victory Lakes FC's Jamar Robinson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tod Cameron narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jamar Robinson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If King Easley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Motor City Football Club were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Victory Lakes FC for a fine match.
