Jessie Magee recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 2nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tod Cameron stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jessie Magee's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. Jessie Magee received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Tod Cameron tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Otto Bocanegra might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sanford Benjamin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Otto Bocanegra ran back to his position shaking his head. Sanford Benjamin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tod Harrison, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Sanford Benjamin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Otto Bocanegra went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After some careless play in the Motor City Football Club defense, Jessie Magee kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tod Cameron. The Motor City Football Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tod Cameron should have stopped the shot. Sanford Benjamin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tod Harrison in the 21st minute of the match. Otto Bocanegra scored 1-2 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sanford Benjamin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Motor City Football Club's zone, Jessie Magee stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tod Cameron came out of the goal and Jessie Magee tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 35th minute Jessie Magee shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tod Cameron saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 39th minute, Jessie Magee made a precise shot to the right of Tod Cameron. Motor City Football Club's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Domenic Voss charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Domenic Voss the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 43rd minute, Domenic Voss hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jessie Magee made a kick off. Tod Harrison might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sanford Benjamin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tod Harrison ran back to his position shaking his head. If Manuel Abraham had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Abraham in the 59th minute of play forced Motor City Football Club's goalkeeper Tod Cameron to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 61 minutes into the match, Manuel Abraham notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Motor City Football Club's Tod Cameron. Tod Cameron was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Sterling Ramey fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Motor City Football Club's protests and gave Sterling Ramey a yellow card for diving instead. In the 64th minute, Sterling Ramey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Noel Denne's late challenge caught a Motor City Football Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. FC Motagua's defense didn't have a chance, in the 77th minute, when Otto Bocanegra scored to the left of an out of position Sanford Benjamin, making the score, 3-4. Motor City Football Club's Otto Bocanegra got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sanford Benjamin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tod Harrison, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tod Cameron showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jessie Magee in the 87th minute of the match. In the 88th minute, Christopher Flood hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FC Motagua's Ismael Rollins couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 89th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Motor City Football Club. Chants of Motor City Football Club echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as FC Motagua had held the ball for most of the match.
