Ross Livingston fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Derrick Darling having to interfere. When Joseph Marsh fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Independent Outdoor Union's protests and gave Joseph Marsh a yellow card for diving instead. In the 19th minute, Joseph Marsh hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A.J. Woodruff made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from King Easley in the 22nd minute of play. 25 minutes into the match, Victory Lakes FC's goal looked a bit too open when Joseph Marsh came free, but Derrick Darling reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 26th minute, Jayson Stephenson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jamar Robinson struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. A.J. Woodruff didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Victory Lakes FC. Ross Livingston received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Derrick Darling tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Victory Lakes FC's Nathaniel Romo got a free kick in the 34th minute. The audience was convinced that Joseph Marsh's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Derrick Darling was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for King Easley to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Jamar Robinson made a precise shot to the right of A.J. Woodruff. Independent Outdoor Union's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. After a rather tough play, Independent Outdoor Union's Ross Livingston got a free kick in the 60th minute. Derrick Darling showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joseph Marsh, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Derrick Darling made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ross Livingston in the 63rd minute. In the 64th minute, Joseph Marsh got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joseph Marsh in the 68th minute of play forced Victory Lakes FC's goalkeeper Derrick Darling to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Victory Lakes FC getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Nathaniel Romo hit a great ball. After 70 minutes of play, Independent Outdoor Union's Ross Livingston made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Derrick Darling was left in no man's land by his defense there! Independent Outdoor Union's A.J. Woodruff played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by King Easley in the 76th minute of play. A collision led to Independent Outdoor Union getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Ross Livingston hit a great ball. Derrick Darling made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joseph Marsh in the 82nd minute of play. Ross Livingston received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Derrick Darling tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind Victory Lakes FC's goalkeeper Derrick Darling, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Derrick Darling made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Ross Livingston sent off a good shot on target. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Independent Outdoor Union had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
