The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Joseph Marsh scored 1-0 in the 11th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lucero Antoine, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Jed Vera came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Arslanian FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jed Vera couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet as Independent Outdoor Union's Joseph Marsh slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Lucero Antoine. That made the score 2-1 after 37 minutes of play. After having played for 43 minutes, Jed Vera managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arslanian FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jed Vera was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Willie Knapp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joseph Marsh stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 52 minutes, Thurman Turner managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arslanian FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Thurman Turner was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Willie Knapp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. A.J. Woodruff tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lucero Antoine showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joseph Marsh, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pedro Sanchez during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Independent Outdoor Union getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Pedro Sanchez hit a great ball. In the 67th minute Ronny McRae shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but A.J. Woodruff saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hamdi Wahbi hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. After 74 minutes of play, Independent Outdoor Union's Joseph Marsh made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lucero Antoine was left in no man's land by his defense there! Lucero Antoine took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ross Livingston, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Willie Knapp succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-2 in the 80th playminute. In the 88th minute, Willie Knapp left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Arslanian FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-3. Arslanian FC were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
