Pedro Sanchez hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Jessie Magee struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. A.J. Woodruff didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Motagua. If Jessie Magee had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. FC Motagua's Manuel Abraham got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A.J. Woodruff took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jessie Magee, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Manuel Abraham fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without A.J. Woodruff having to interfere. After 14 played minutes Independent Outdoor Union got a freekick which was hit by Raphael Rivas. Independent Outdoor Union's A.J. Woodruff played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manuel Abraham in the 15th minute of play. Joseph Marsh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Sanford Benjamin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Manuel Abraham sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A.J. Woodruff made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Abraham in the 23rd minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, Independent Outdoor Union's Ross Livingston sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sanford Benjamin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 40 minutes, Ross Livingston managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Independent Outdoor Union's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ross Livingston was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 44th minute Manuel Abraham shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but A.J. Woodruff saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The wind increased when Joseph Marsh made the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Independent Outdoor Union's goalkeeper A.J. Woodruff had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Manuel Abraham. Rusty Cardwell hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Through an outstanding action, after 58 minutes, A.J. Woodruff successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Jessie Magee sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of FC Motagua booed when Independent Outdoor Union was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Sanchez didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 70th minute, Raphael Rivas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, FC Motagua's Ismael Rollins tried to score from far away in the 70th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Manuel Abraham received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. A.J. Woodruff tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 75 minutes into the match, Independent Outdoor Union's goal looked a bit too open when Wilfred Courtney came free, but A.J. Woodruff reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Christian Durham kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. A.J. Woodruff showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jessie Magee, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Jessie Magee managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Motagua's supporters rose to their feet, but Jessie Magee was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. A.J. Woodruff breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A.J. Woodruff made an important save on a dangerous shot by Manuel Abraham in the 85th minute. Joseph Marsh scored 1-0 in the 87th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sanford Benjamin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Independent Outdoor Union getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Raphael Rivas hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 95 minutes, Manuel Abraham took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for A.J. Woodruff to make any attempt to save it. The FC Motagua players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Independent Outdoor Union from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
