In the 10th match minute, Victory Lakes FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nathaniel Romo to maneuver through the defense. 15 minutes into the match, Victory Lakes FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sid Gardner came free, but Derrick Darling reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Victory Lakes FC:s Derrick Darling showed great skill when he stopped Isaiah Lucero:s penalty. After 29 minutes of play, River Poker's Isaiah Lucero made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Derrick Darling was left in no man's land by his defense there! Victory Lakes FC's Derrick Darling played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gary Sanderson in the 33rd minute of play. Jamar Robinson who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 39thth minute tested the skills of Garth Gomez when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sid Gardner got free with Derrick Darling in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Victory Lakes FC booed when River Poker was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jospeh Isaac didn't get a good kick on the ball. Milo Gabriel, 69 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Sid Gardner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Derrick Darling having to interfere. 78 minutes into the game, Jamar Robinson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Garth Gomez was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jamar Robinson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Garth Gomez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. King Easley hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Sid Gardner succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-2 in the 85th playminute. Gary Sanderson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Derrick Darling made a huge save. After 92 played minutes River Poker got a freekick which was hit by Jospeh Isaac. Derrick Darling didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sid Gardner went, in the 96th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. The Victory Lakes FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching River Poker's performance. The match ended with a win for River Poker.
