Gilberto German made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jon Bernal in the 11th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in SOFISTIKATED FC's zone, Richie Fortune stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Max Zaragoza came out of the goal and Richie Fortune tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Richie Fortune was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 29th minute. FC Barcelona's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Vicente Pope kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Gilberto German didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jon Bernal went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 38th of the match, Richie Fortune tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Max Zaragoza got in the way and made a wonderful save. Andre Bonilla took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gilberto German. Gilberto German dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. In the 48th minute, FC Barcelona's Richie Fortune dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
The wind increased when Richie Fortune made the kick off in the second half. Richie Fortune scored 3-2 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Max Zaragoza, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Max Zaragoza didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marshall Preston went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-2 was the resulting score. Richie Fortune received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Max Zaragoza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 73 minutes into the game, Vicente Pope was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SOFISTIKATED FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Barcelona the free kick. In the 74th minute, Vicente Pope hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marshall Preston in the 77th minute of play forced SOFISTIKATED FC's goalkeeper Max Zaragoza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 5-2 became the score in the 83rd minute when Richie Fortune elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After having played for 87 minutes, Errol May managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Barcelona's supporters crossed their fingers, but Errol May was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Marshall Preston came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the FC Barcelona fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marshall Preston couldn't finish the play. After having played for 93 minutes, Quincy Bonner managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SOFISTIKATED FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Quincy Bonner was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 96th minute, Quincy Bonner got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Saul Marquez fell near the penalty area in the 97th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Barcelona's protests and gave Saul Marquez a yellow card for diving instead. In the 97th match minute, FC Barcelona was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Saul Marquez to maneuver through the defense. For all the effort they put into the match, the SOFISTIKATED FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for FC Barcelona.
