A collision led to ChaumanFC getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Huub Pierewaaijer hit a great ball. In the 15th minute, Huub Pierewaaijer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Jon Hope fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored América de Cali's protests and gave Jon Hope a yellow card for diving instead. When ChaumanFC's Huub Pierewaaijer in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye América de Cali's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, América de Cali's Seth McClain got a free kick in the 22nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Angelo Bridges managed to get in a good position for a shot. ChaumanFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Angelo Bridges was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Curt Henry breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of ChaumanFC booed when América de Cali was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eddie Robertson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Huub Pierewaaijer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Virgil Moran took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rusty Dunlap. Rusty Dunlap dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. After a rather tough play, América de Cali's Trinidad Raymond got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Huub Pierewaaijer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Curt Henry having to interfere. Rusty Dunlap took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Quincy Burroughs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ace Reyes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Curt Henry tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 47 minutes into the match, ChaumanFC's Huub Pierewaaijer sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Curt Henry narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Jon Hope made the kick off in the second half. When Angelo Bridges came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the ChaumanFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Angelo Bridges couldn't finish the play. In the 52nd minute, Trinidad Raymond hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Ralph Pereira fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. In the 59thth minute of the game Jon Hope who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ChaumanFC's Rusty Dunlap was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of ChaumanFC booed when América de Cali was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eddie Robertson didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Huub Pierewaaijer got free with Curt Henry in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 68 minutes, Ace Reyes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ChaumanFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ace Reyes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Curt Henry came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by ChaumanFC's Huub Pierewaaijer. But to his dismay, Huub Pierewaaijer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Rusty Dunlap showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Seth McClain in the 84th minute of the match. Rusty Dunlap made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Seth McClain in the 89th minute of play. Rusty Dunlap showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jon Hope, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. 95 minutes into the match, Quincy Burroughs had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rusty Dunlap. ChaumanFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Quincy Burroughs was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. The América de Cali players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
