Romeo Golden's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 23rdth minute, Gregg Ruth skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Gregg Ruth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marvin Metcalf in the 25th minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, Landfair FC's goal looked a bit too open when Marvin Metcalf came free, but Gregg Ruth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 36 minutes into the game, Fred McGinnis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Glen Carbon's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Landfair FC the free kick. After 36 played minutes Glen Carbon got a freekick which was hit by Fred McGinnis. Vicente Hardy struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Filiberto Sams didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Landfair FC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marvin Metcalf in the 42nd minute of play forced Landfair FC's goalkeeper Gregg Ruth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 42nd minute, Quintin Cao Xiao hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 45 minutes into the match, Glen Carbon's goal looked a bit too open when Rickey Mock came free, but Filiberto Sams reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vicente Hardy stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marvin Metcalf in the 59th minute of play forced Landfair FC's goalkeeper Gregg Ruth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 63rd match minute, Landfair FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Quintin Cao Xiao to maneuver through the defense. Romeo Golden sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 67 played minutes Landfair FC got a freekick which was hit by Russ Stafford. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Glen Carbon's goalkeeper Filiberto Sams, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Silas Coyle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Landfair FC's Guy Cage got a free kick in the 81st minute. Gregg Ruth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romeo Golden, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. If Vicente Hardy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Landfair FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
