Max Zaragoza came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by Glen Carbon's Romeo Golden. But to his dismay, Romeo Golden quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After 9 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Glen Carbon! Max Zaragoza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Romeo Golden, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jon Bernal charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jon Bernal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jon Bernal kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. In the 15th minute Romeo Golden shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Max Zaragoza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Glen Carbon booed when SOFISTIKATED FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vicente Pope didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 21 played minutes Glen Carbon got a freekick which was hit by Fred McGinnis. In the 24th match minute, SOFISTIKATED FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vicente Pope to maneuver through the defense. Romeo Golden sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 27th minute Marvin Metcalf shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Max Zaragoza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Andre Bonilla during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 30 played minutes SOFISTIKATED FC got a freekick which was hit by Andre Bonilla. In the 33rd minute Andre Bonilla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filiberto Sams saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Romeo Golden in the 35th minute of play forced SOFISTIKATED FC's goalkeeper Max Zaragoza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Romeo Golden fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Max Zaragoza having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marvin Metcalf made a kick off. Owen Short kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Andre Bonilla hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. 55 minutes into the match, SOFISTIKATED FC's goalkeeper Max Zaragoza had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Romeo Golden. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marvin Metcalf in the 60th minute of play forced SOFISTIKATED FC's goalkeeper Max Zaragoza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Quincy Bonner came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the SOFISTIKATED FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Quincy Bonner couldn't finish the play. Jon Bernal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filiberto Sams having to interfere. Marvin Metcalf might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Max Zaragoza. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marvin Metcalf ran back to his position shaking his head. Max Zaragoza didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 75th minute, which inside left pole to 0-2. Romeo Golden sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Quincy Bonner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Glen Carbon's Casper Hogan got a free kick in the 81st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Quincy Bonner in the 82nd minute of play forced Glen Carbon's goalkeeper Filiberto Sams to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Jon Bernal managed to get in a good position for a shot. SOFISTIKATED FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jon Bernal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Filiberto Sams breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 85th minute, Quincy Bonner left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SOFISTIKATED FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Quincy Bonner received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Filiberto Sams tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Max Zaragoza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marvin Metcalf, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Glen Carbon's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
