Gerald Dwyer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Peter Mott, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eusebio Peachey hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Colin Francis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Catlin AFC's Colin Francis quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Lane Driscoll, made in the 21st minute of the game. If Eusebio Peachey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Catlin AFC's Gerald Dwyer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eusebio Peachey in the 27th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Catlin AFC's Colin Francis got a free kick in the 33rd minute. After some careless play in the Catlin AFC defense, Peter Mott kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gerald Dwyer. The Catlin AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gerald Dwyer should have stopped the shot. After 38 played minutes Catlin AFC got a freekick which was hit by Donald Fisher. Jordan Browne took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 39th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gerald Dwyer. Catlin AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 39th minute, Colin Francis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 45 minutes of play, Catlin AFC's DeMarcus Tanner made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jacob Cabrera was left in no man's land by his defense there! Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The wind increased when Eusebio Peachey made the kick off in the second half. The corner led Catlin AFC's Blake Haywood to fire away a dangerous shot which Jacob Cabrera despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. During the 57th minute of the match Eusebio Peachey completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Eusebio Peachey a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of Catlin AFC booed when Tampa Bay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eusebio Peachey didn't get a good kick on the ball. Peter Mott fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gerald Dwyer having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Steven Cody in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jacob Cabrera saved Tampa Bay from getting behind. Peter Mott received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Gerald Dwyer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Steven Cody might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jacob Cabrera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Steven Cody ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 90th minute DeMarcus Tanner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacob Cabrera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Peter Mott received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Gerald Dwyer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Catlin AFC getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Blake Haywood hit a great ball. Tampa Bay's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
