In the 17th minute of the match Donny Lincoln sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Curt Henry skillfully saved the ball. 19 minutes into the match, Quincy Burroughs dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Alfred Russo, 1-0. Alfred Russo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Seth McClain in the 25th minute. Somerset's Lincoln Root got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 29th minute, Casper Epps got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 30 minutes into the game, Lincoln Root cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Curt Henry was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Lincoln Root managed to get in a good position for a shot. Somerset's supporters rose to their feet, but Lincoln Root was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Curt Henry breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Casper Epps had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lincoln Root to make the kick off. Alfred Russo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Lincoln Root's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. Curt Henry didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ervin Woodall went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-4 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Seth McClain in the 88th minute of play forced Somerset's goalkeeper Alfred Russo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ervin Woodall sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Casper Epps managed to get in a good position for a shot.
