Saul Marquez kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Chris Salas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marshall Preston, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Doug Lane hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. 36 minutes into the match, FC Barcelona's goal looked a bit too open when Lazaro Painter came free, but Gilberto German reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 36 played minutes FC Barcelona got a freekick which was hit by Rocky Sears. With a little luck, FC Barcelona's Gilberto German got control of the ball when Chase McCall tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Marshall Preston came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the FC Barcelona fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marshall Preston couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lazaro Painter in the 44th minute of play forced FC Barcelona's goalkeeper Gilberto German to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Marshall Preston had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lazaro Painter stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Lazaro Painter recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rocky Sears during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Gilberto German made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lazaro Painter in the 61st minute of play. The NASAMS fans' excitement grew in the 64th match minute when NASAMS's Lazaro Painter looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When NASAMS's Chase McCall in the 70th minute got a chance for a shot 70th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Barcelona's goalie prevented a goal. In the 76th minute Lazaro Painter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilberto German saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Chase McCall sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 80thth minute of the game Lazaro Painter who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Barcelona's Gilberto German was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Marshall Preston could shoot a difficult shot in the 82nd minute, which Chris Salas however easily saved by the left post. Gilberto German took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lazaro Painter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 86 minutes into the match, NASAMS's Lazaro Painter sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gilberto German narrowly saved just below the crossbar. NASAMS's Lazaro Painter got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Lazaro Painter came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the NASAMS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lazaro Painter couldn't finish the play.
