Arthur Morton kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Jarrod Eubanks made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marvin Metcalf in the 5th minute of play. After 11 played minutes Glen Carbon got a freekick which was hit by Silas Coyle. Silas Coyle kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Glen Carbon's zone, Brady Brownell stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Filiberto Sams came out of the goal and Brady Brownell tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Marvin Metcalf's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jarrod Eubanks was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. In the 32nd match minute, Glen Carbon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Casper Hogan to maneuver through the defense. Marvin Metcalf had several of the Fc San Nicolas's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 35 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Jarrod Eubanks as he didn't even see the shot coming. The audience thought a goal was coming when Romeo Golden got free with Jarrod Eubanks in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Fc San Nicolas's Rudy Gleason got a free kick in the 39th minute. After 42 minutes, Brady Brownell mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fc San Nicolas and the Glen Carbon players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 42nd match minute, Fc San Nicolas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brady Brownell to maneuver through the defense. In the 45th minute, Marvin Metcalf got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rudy Gleason during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 46th match minute, Fc San Nicolas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rudy Gleason to maneuver through the defense. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marvin Metcalf to make the kick off. Jarrod Eubanks didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Romeo Golden went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. When Marvin Metcalf came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Glen Carbon fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marvin Metcalf couldn't finish the play. Silas Coyle kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. In the 65th minute, Fc San Nicolas's Lee Hancock ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Filiberto Sams. Filiberto Sams yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. Brady Brownell's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 68thth minute, Filiberto Sams skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 71st minute Romeo Golden shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jarrod Eubanks saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 74th minute by Brady Brownell got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After 76 minutes of play Fc San Nicolas's Rudy Gleason was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 77th minute, Rudy Gleason hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wes Dahlstrom was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 78th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Marvin Metcalf fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jarrod Eubanks having to interfere. In the 81st minute Romeo Golden shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jarrod Eubanks saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marvin Metcalf in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jarrod Eubanks prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Marvin Metcalf had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marvin Metcalf fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jarrod Eubanks having to interfere. Glen Carbon's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
