If DeMarcus Tanner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rickey Mock hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. A hard shot 7 in the game by Steven Cody from a close distance when the talented Gregg Ruth managed to make a qualified save. Landfair FC's players were relieved. In the 8th minute, Colin Francis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rickey Mock in the 9th minute of play forced Catlin AFC's goalkeeper Gerald Dwyer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gerald Dwyer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vicente Hardy in the 14th minute of play. 19 minutes into the match, Landfair FC's goalkeeper Gregg Ruth had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Steven Cody. DeMarcus Tanner struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Gregg Ruth didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Catlin AFC. In the 25th minute, DeMarcus Tanner got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Catlin AFC's Colin Francis got a free kick in the 26th minute. In the 28th minute Vicente Hardy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gerald Dwyer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 31 minutes into the match, Landfair FC's goalkeeper Gregg Ruth had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Richie Wills. Gerald Dwyer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Quintin Cao Xiao, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. DeMarcus Tanner hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Colin Francis received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Gregg Ruth came out and tried to block the shot, but Colin Francis slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 40th minute. Gerald Dwyer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Quintin Cao Xiao, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vicente Hardy to make the kick off. Steven Cody fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gregg Ruth having to interfere. DeMarcus Tanner kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Percy Tompkins kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Gregg Ruth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Steven Cody, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Gerald Dwyer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Russ Stafford in the 79th minute of play. With a little luck, Catlin AFC's Gerald Dwyer got control of the ball when Quintin Cao Xiao tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gregg Ruth didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from DeMarcus Tanner went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Catlin AFC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
