William Dotson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. North Wilkesboro FC's Eduardo McKinney played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mitchell Rutledge in the 28th minute of play. When Trenton Kim came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the North Wilkesboro FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Trenton Kim couldn't finish the play. 41 minutes into the match, North Wilkesboro FC's goal looked a bit too open when William Dotson came free, but Eduardo McKinney reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Trenton Kim took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Titus Peoples. Titus Peoples dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Darell Campbell to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Trenton Kim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Titus Peoples saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eduardo McKinney showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from William Dotson, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. In the 69th minute, Darell Campbell got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Shaun Nance kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Jamal Clemons took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 72nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Titus Peoples. Starkville's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Mitchell Rutledge recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eduardo McKinney took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from William Dotson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 82 minutes into the match, Darell Campbell had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Titus Peoples. Starkville's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Darell Campbell was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. After 85 played minutes North Wilkesboro FC got a freekick which was hit by Kasey Ladd. Darell Campbell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Titus Peoples tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mitchell Rutledge received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mitchell Rutledge got free with Eduardo McKinney in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. For all the effort they put into the match, the Starkville players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for North Wilkesboro FC.
