Mitchell Rutledge's late challenge caught a LV Toros FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After 32 played minutes Starkville got a freekick which was hit by Mitchell Rutledge. 35 minutes into the game, one of LV Toros FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 37 minutes, Starkville's Shaun Nance got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Hector Ritter.
