Spectators: 7793 (Terracing: 5846, Seating: 1792, VIP seats: 155) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Phil Dudley took the kick off in the first half of the match. 3 minutes in the game, Angelo Eubanks fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Titus Peoples having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Phil Dudley managed to get in a good position for a shot. 4th Republic USA's supporters rose to their feet, but Phil Dudley was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Titus Peoples breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If William Dotson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Corey Uster hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. In the 14th minute Phil Dudley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Titus Peoples saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 14 played minutes 4th Republic USA got a freekick which was hit by Rodrick Spence. 19 minutes into the match, William Dotson notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of 4th Republic USA's Vito Oberle. Vito Oberle was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Corey Uster charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Corey Uster the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Corey Uster hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Starkville's Titus Peoples played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brendon Sandoval in the 27th minute of play. 4th Republic USA's Angelo Eubanks got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to 4th Republic USA getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Phil Dudley hit a great ball. In the 32nd minute, William Dotson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Starkville fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. In the 36th minute Phil Dudley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Titus Peoples saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dexter Baez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Titus Peoples tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Starkville's defense didn't have a chance, in the 40th minute, when Angelo Eubanks scored to the left of an out of position Titus Peoples, making the score, 1-2. If Guillermo Dietz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Starkville's zone, Dexter Baez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Titus Peoples came out of the goal and Dexter Baez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Starkville's Titus Peoples got control of the ball when Angelo Eubanks tried to sneak it across the goal line. The 4th Republic USA players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Starkville were winning 1-2.

4th Republic USA's Vito Oberle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by William Dotson in the 53rd minute of play. Phil Dudley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Titus Peoples didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for 4th Republic USA. Through an outstanding action, after 82 minutes, Vito Oberle successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 4th Republic USA's Angelo Eubanks got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Angelo Eubanks sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Starkville's goalkeeper Titus Peoples, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Mitchell Rutledge fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vito Oberle having to interfere. Starkville were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over 4th Republic USA's much stronger midfield.
