The supporters of AC Milan booed when 4th Republic USA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guillermo Dietz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dexter Baez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Angelo Eubanks received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Kevin Hathaway tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kevin Hathaway showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Phil Dudley, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. If Phil Dudley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Kevin Hathaway was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Phil Dudley showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 40 minute of play. When Phil Dudley came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the 4th Republic USA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Phil Dudley couldn't finish the play. Phil Dudley took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kevin Hathaway. Kevin Hathaway dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. After a rather tough play, AC Milan's Werner Villarreal got a free kick in the 61st minute. Phil Dudley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Kevin Hathaway tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kevin Hathaway took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Phil Dudley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The AC Milan fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kevin Hathaway should have stopped the shot. 76 minutes into the match, Phil Dudley had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kevin Hathaway. AC Milan's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Phil Dudley was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Phil Dudley managed to get in a good position for a shot. 4th Republic USA's supporters rose to their feet, but Phil Dudley was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kevin Hathaway breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Phil Dudley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. 4th Republic USA fully deserved thier win.
