Mike Burch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stanton Maldonado having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Kings Beach's Monroe Willingham got a free kick in the 9th minute. DeMarcus Vigil hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Monroe Willingham took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Stanton Maldonado to make any attempt to save it. Niceville AFC's Stanton Maldonado proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Niceville AFC from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Preston Godfrey in the 31st minute of play forced Niceville AFC's goalkeeper Stanton Maldonado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stanton Maldonado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Monroe Willingham, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Kings Beach defense, Rodger Carney kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Graham Maurer. The Kings Beach fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Graham Maurer should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Niceville AFC booed when Kings Beach was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mike Burch didn't get a good kick on the ball. Niceville AFC's Stanton Maldonado proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Niceville AFC from getting a goal against them. In the 47th minute, Mike Burch made a precise shot to the right of Stanton Maldonado. Niceville AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. William Garner was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th match minute, Kings Beach was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mike Burch to maneuver through the defense. Mike Burch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Stanton Maldonado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mike Burch in the 63rd minute of the match. Stanton Maldonado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Monroe Willingham in the 65th minute of play. 68 minutes into the match, Niceville AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Monroe Willingham came free, but Stanton Maldonado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Niceville AFC's zone, Monroe Willingham stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stanton Maldonado came out of the goal and Monroe Willingham tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Bailey Lake had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
