Stanton Maldonado was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 32nd minute, William Garner ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Javier Martinez was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Grady Ezell got in the 35th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Javier Martinez handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in New York Towers's zone, Grady Ezell stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Javier Martinez came out of the goal and Grady Ezell tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Grady Ezell made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, William Garner got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Niceville AFC's Stanton Maldonado proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Niceville AFC from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilfred Garza in the 57th minute of play forced Niceville AFC's goalkeeper Stanton Maldonado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Grady Ezell charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Grady Ezell the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Grady Ezell hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Stanton Maldonado was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from King Wallace. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Rocky Hilton managed to get in a good position for a shot. New York Towers's supporters rose to their feet, but Rocky Hilton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stanton Maldonado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 74th minute, Grady Ezell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. William Garner received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Javier Martinez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 81 minutes, Maxwell Voss mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Niceville AFC and the New York Towers players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 80th minute of the game. One of Niceville AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of New York Towers:s goal. When Rodger Carney came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Niceville AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rodger Carney couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Niceville AFC's Stanton Maldonado got control of the ball when Sandy Christian tried to sneak it across the goal line. 95 minutes into the match, Niceville AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Wilfred Garza came free, but Stanton Maldonado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 97 minutes, Wilfred Garza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. New York Towers's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wilfred Garza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Niceville AFC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching New York Towers's performance. The match ended with a win for New York Towers.
