Niceville AFC's Stanton Maldonado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roderick Chappelle in the 4th minute of play. Jeremiah Foster came free with the goalkeeper in the 13th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Stanton Maldonado could save by the left post. In the 16th minute Roderick Chappelle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stanton Maldonado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leroy Madison got free with Stanton Maldonado in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Niceville AFC's Stanton Maldonado proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Niceville AFC from getting a goal against them. In the 20th match minute, Niceville AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Grady Ezell to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roderick Chappelle in the 21st minute of play forced Niceville AFC's goalkeeper Stanton Maldonado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Niceville AFC booed when Lions of Quenns was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Spencer Tanner didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rodger Carney fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alan Land having to interfere. Grady Ezell struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Alan Land didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Niceville AFC. After 34 minutes, Grady Ezell mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Niceville AFC and the Lions of Quenns players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 35 played minutes Niceville AFC got a freekick which was hit by Grady Ezell. Stanton Maldonado made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leroy Madison in the 36th minute. Grady Ezell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cole Peck during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 40th minute, Cole Peck hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Niceville AFC's Grady Ezell got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 45th minute, Grady Ezell ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alan Land was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After the first half Niceville AFC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rodger Carney to make the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Garrett Pollock during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 82nd minute, Grady Ezell got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alan Land made an important save on a dangerous shot by Grady Ezell in the 84th minute. In the 88th minute, Jeremiah Foster made a precise shot to the right of Stanton Maldonado. Niceville AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. 93 minutes in the game Spencer Tanner did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Leroy Madison. Shawn Tang made in the 96th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Niceville AFC's William Garner. An unexpected shot in the 97th minute by William Garner got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Lions of Quenns succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Niceville AFC had controlled the match.
