When Sandy Christian fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored New York Towers's protests and gave Sandy Christian a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, New York Towers's Sandy Christian got a free kick in the 3rd minute. With a little luck, New York Towers's Javier Martinez got control of the ball when Wyatt Diggs tried to sneak it across the goal line. Wyatt Diggs received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Javier Martinez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Javier Martinez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bryon Welch's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. In the 10th minute, Domingo Knowles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by King Wallace during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 14 played minutes New York Towers got a freekick which was hit by King Wallace. Rolando Wang was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 15th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Wyatt Diggs kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 22ndth minute. Though ot was a great shot New York Towers's keeper Javier Martinez was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Javier Martinez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bryon Welch in the 22nd minute of the match. Rolando Wang's late challenge caught a New York Towers's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rolando Wang helped the player get up and apologised. Sandy Christian sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wilfred Garza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Len Hatch having to interfere. Javier Martinez made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Wyatt Diggs sent off a good shot on target. After 39 minutes, Truman Robles mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the New York Towers and the Rey brook FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, New York Towers's Truman Robles got a free kick in the 39th minute. Wyatt Diggs recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bryon Welch was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bryon Welch in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Javier Martinez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Wyatt Diggs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Javier Martinez having to interfere. Javier Martinez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wyatt Diggs in the 57th minute of play. Rey brook FC's Wyatt Diggs got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Javier Martinez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bryon Welch in the 61st minute of play. In the 62nd minute, Wyatt Diggs hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Rey brook FC booed when New York Towers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Craig Clearwater didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Rey brook FC's goalkeeper Len Hatch, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Wilfred Garza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 80 minutes, Wilfred Garza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. New York Towers's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wilfred Garza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bryon Welch blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Javier Martinez having to make a save. Bryon Welch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Javier Martinez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rey brook FC's Wyatt Diggs got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 88 minutes into the game, Rey brook FC's Bryon Welch nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Javier Martinez made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Bryon Welch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Javier Martinez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wilfred Garza struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Len Hatch didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for New York Towers. The audience was convinced that Wilfred Garza's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Len Hatch was relentless in the 96th minute of the game. Rey brook FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
