When Rodger Carney came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Niceville AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rodger Carney couldn't finish the play. After 17 minutes, Lionel Rutherford mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Juventus F.C. and the Niceville AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Juventus F.C.'s Lionel Rutherford got a free kick in the 17th minute. In the 19th minute, Rodger Carney got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lionel Rutherford got his second yellow card in the match during the 23rd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Niceville AFC's Rodger Carney got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 42 minutes into the match, Grady Ezell notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Juventus F.C.'s Dirk Delaney. Dirk Delaney was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Grady Ezell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Frankie Lambert to strike the kick off in the second half. Rodger Carney might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dirk Delaney. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rodger Carney ran back to his position shaking his head. Frankie Lambert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stanton Maldonado having to interfere. Seth Cassidy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stanton Maldonado having to interfere. Seth Cassidy missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 93 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Stanton Maldonado right hand side. The Niceville AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Niceville AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
