Spectators: 7400 (Terracing: 5600, Seating: 1650, VIP seats: 150) Canastota FC's Nick Vann started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 5 minutes, Cobi Newcomb mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cuba City and the Canastota FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Cobi Newcomb kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. After 9 played minutes Cuba City got a freekick which was hit by Cliff Ivey. Nick Vann might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Basil Wray. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nick Vann ran back to his position shaking his head. Cobi Newcomb kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Basil Wray didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nick Vann went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Nick Vann recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Shane Nunn in the 34th minute of play forced Cuba City's goalkeeper Basil Wray to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 36th minute, Ervin Herbert left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cuba City fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. 40 minutes into the match, Cuba City's goal looked a bit too open when Shane Nunn came free, but Basil Wray reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Shane Nunn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Basil Wray tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Cuba City players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Canastota FC were winning 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Douglas Acosta to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Shelby Ward was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Canastota FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cuba City the free kick. Shelby Ward kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Darell Roth took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 54th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Brian Whaley. Canastota FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Nick Vann ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 96 minutes, Shane Nunn managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Canastota FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Shane Nunn was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Canastota FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
