Mobridge AFC's Brady King got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 39th minute Brady King shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giuseppe Kearney saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Giuseppe Kearney took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brady King, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edmund Bernstein sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Newman's Giuseppe Kearney played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brady King in the 45th minute of play. Jarod McGill kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. In the 47th minute of the match Cason McNair shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Giuseppe Kearney showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lyle Wilhelm stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Newman booed when Mobridge AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Collin Clinton didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Cason McNair fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mobridge AFC's protests and gave Cason McNair a yellow card for diving instead. The referee gave Newman a penalty, 57 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Napoleon Ventura, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Mobridge AFC's Casper West. 1-2. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 71 minutes into the match, Newman's goalkeeper Giuseppe Kearney had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Brady King. When Marc Dickens fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Newman's protests and gave Marc Dickens a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Newman getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Marc Dickens hit a great ball. Brady King struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Giuseppe Kearney didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mobridge AFC. After some careless play in the Newman defense, Brady King kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Giuseppe Kearney. The Newman fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Giuseppe Kearney should have stopped the shot. When Reed Dupree fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mobridge AFC's protests and gave Reed Dupree a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Mobridge AFC getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Reed Dupree hit a great ball. Newman's Giuseppe Kearney proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Newman from getting a goal against them. Giuseppe Kearney made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Brady King sent off a good shot on target. In the last second Giuseppe Kearney throw himself and got hold of the ball when Edmund Bernstein in the 86thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Casper West showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marc Dickens in the 91st minute of the match. When Marc Dickens was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 94 minutes had been played. A collision led to Newman getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Marc Dickens hit a great ball. Mobridge AFC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
