Spectators: 7505 (Terracing: 5629, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 150) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Lyle Wilhelm made the kick off which started today's match. Minor's Tomas Delarosa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Minor from getting a goal against them. After 8 minutes, Marc Dickens mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Newman and the Minor players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 8 played minutes Newman got a freekick which was hit by Marc Dickens. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Willis Landreth in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Giuseppe Kearney saved Newman from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Willis Landreth's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Giuseppe Kearney was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. The Minor fans' excitement grew in the 17th match minute when Minor's Willis Landreth looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Jarod McGill was extremely unlucky when he, in the 22nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Marlon Dupree kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. 32 minutes into the match, Willis Landreth had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Giuseppe Kearney. Newman's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Willis Landreth was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Justin Mosley recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Willis Landreth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Willis Landreth in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Giuseppe Kearney prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Willis Landreth in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Giuseppe Kearney saved Newman from getting behind. The Newman players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Minor were winning 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Willis Landreth to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Osvaldo Ferrell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Newman's Jarod McGill got a free kick in the 54th minute. Willis Landreth's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 59thth minute, Giuseppe Kearney skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. A collision led to Minor getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Luis Carpenter hit a great ball. Newman's Napoleon Ventura got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Octavio Bartlett took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 67th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Tomas Delarosa. Minor's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 68th minute, Willis Landreth got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Willis Landreth received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Giuseppe Kearney tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Jonathon Winslow came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Minor fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jonathon Winslow couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Newman's zone, Marlon Dupree stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Giuseppe Kearney came out of the goal and Marlon Dupree tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tomas Delarosa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lyle Wilhelm, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 81 minutes, Willis Landreth managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Minor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Willis Landreth was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 86 minutes into the match, Newman's goal looked a bit too open when Willis Landreth came free, but Giuseppe Kearney reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Newman's zone, Marlon Dupree stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Giuseppe Kearney came out of the goal and Marlon Dupree tried to chip the ball over his head. When the match had gone on for 91 minutes, Willis Landreth put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Giuseppe Kearney.
