In the 16th minute, Allen Drummond got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Shane Nunn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 20 minutes, Nick Vann managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Canastota FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nick Vann was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Terrell Hawkins's late challenge caught a Canastota FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Terrell Hawkins helped the player get up and apologised. Terrell Hawkins kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. In the 24thth minute of the game Nick Vann who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC 420's Emanuel Madrid was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Canastota FC's Nick Vann got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Canastota FC's Brian Whaley proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Canastota FC from getting a goal against them. FC 420's Emanuel Madrid played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Shane Nunn in the 36th minute of play. In the 47thth minute of the game Nick Vann who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC 420's Emanuel Madrid was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Allen Drummond made the kick off in the second half. Emanuel Madrid made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Shane Nunn sent off a good shot on target. After 64 minutes of play, FC 420's Vince Coles made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Brian Whaley was left in no man's land by his defense there! Shane Nunn kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 70thth minute. Though ot was a great shot FC 420's keeper Emanuel Madrid was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Brian Whaley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Allen Drummond in the 72nd minute of the match. Vince Coles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Brian Whaley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 77th minute, Everett Deering sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and FC 420's Emanuel Madrid didn't even have to move. Myles Delong hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Shane Nunn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emanuel Madrid having to interfere. After 81 played minutes FC 420 got a freekick which was hit by Myles Delong. In the 84th minute, Canastota FC's Nick Vann dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Emanuel Madrid didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 90th minute, which inside left pole to 1-2. The supporters of Canastota FC booed when FC 420 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Myles Delong didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match was over Canastota FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than FC 420 throughout the match.
