Shane Nunn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Jonas Lowery tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Canastota FC's Shane Nunn got a free kick in the 25th minute. When Fletcher Steele came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Darby fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fletcher Steele couldn't finish the play. Bernardo Thurston recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 32 played minutes Canastota FC got a freekick which was hit by Shelby Ward. Fletcher Steele scored 0-2 in the 33rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Brian Whaley, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jonas Lowery made an important save on a dangerous shot by Shane Nunn in the 36th minute. Brian Whaley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fletcher Steele in the 38th minute of play. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nick Vann made a kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Darby's Bernardo Thurston sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Brian Whaley narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 57th minute, Darby's Bernardo Thurston ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Brian Whaley. Brian Whaley yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. Brian Whaley took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardo Thurston, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 62nd minute, Shane Nunn got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Darby getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Virgilio Espinoza hit a great ball. In the 68th minute, Fletcher Steele left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Darby fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Brian Whaley took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardo Thurston, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fletcher Steele struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Brian Whaley didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Darby. After a rather tough play, Canastota FC's Everett Deering got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Brian Whaley made a fantastic save in the 97th minute, when Fletcher Steele sent off a good shot on target. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Darby had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
