After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Shane Barrett managed to get in a good position for a shot. South Kensington AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Shane Barrett was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Napoleon Laws breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Napoleon Laws stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ervin Naylor's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Shane Barrett in the 10th minute of play forced Xeneize FC's goalkeeper Napoleon Laws to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Benito Rivers during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Benito Rivers hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Kraig Friedman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Xeneize FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Kraig Friedman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Reyes Bullard breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cristopher Hicks sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristopher Hicks recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Kraig Friedman fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Xeneize FC's protests and gave Kraig Friedman a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ervin Naylor in the 30th minute of play forced Xeneize FC's goalkeeper Napoleon Laws to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 31st minute, Ervin Naylor made a precise shot to the right of Napoleon Laws. Xeneize FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Ervin Naylor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Napoleon Laws tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ervin Naylor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 45 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for South Kensington AFC! After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Reyes Bullard didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Xeneize FC's Kraig Friedman shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-1 in the ordered_time% minute. In the 59th minute, Pat Sheppard hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Napoleon Laws made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Ervin Naylor sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Xeneize FC's zone, Ervin Naylor stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Napoleon Laws came out of the goal and Ervin Naylor tried to chip the ball over his head. Kraig Friedman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Reyes Bullard read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. After 85 minutes of play, Xeneize FC's Kraig Friedman made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Reyes Bullard was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ervin Naylor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Napoleon Laws having to interfere. Cristopher Hicks fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reyes Bullard having to interfere. Kraig Friedman might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Reyes Bullard. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kraig Friedman ran back to his position shaking his head. When Cristopher Hicks came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Xeneize FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristopher Hicks couldn't finish the play. South Kensington AFC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
