Mahanoy City's Joey Howard proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Mahanoy City from getting a goal against them. 79 minutes into the match, Mahanoy City's goal looked a bit too open when Noel Childers came free, but Joey Howard reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mahanoy City's Joey Howard proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Mahanoy City from getting a goal against them. When Napoleon Kelley came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the DFW Tejanos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Napoleon Kelley couldn't finish the play. The Mahanoy City supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching DFW Tejanos's performance. The match ended with a win for DFW Tejanos.
