Brant Buckner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonard Rodriquez in the 11th minute of play. Gregory Nolan struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Marlon Camacho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ellsworth North. Marlon Camacho acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 21st minute, took the ball on the long shot from Ezra Turner. If Jon Gonzalez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Jude Sandoval fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ellsworth North's protests and gave Jude Sandoval a yellow card for diving instead. In the 24th match minute, Ellsworth North was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jude Sandoval to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Ellsworth North booed when Lex FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Salvador Padilla didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marlon Camacho made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Gregory Nolan sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonard Rodriquez in the 31st minute of play forced Ellsworth North's goalkeeper Brant Buckner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Ellsworth North's Ty Gordon got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Jon Gonzalez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Brant Buckner tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jon Gonzalez to make the kick off. If Leonard Rodriquez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Leonard Rodriquez came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Lex FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leonard Rodriquez couldn't finish the play. In the 57th minute, Lex FC's Jon Gonzalez dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-1. Brant Buckner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonard Rodriquez in the 60th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Lex FC's zone, Gregory Nolan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marlon Camacho came out of the goal and Gregory Nolan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ezra Coffey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jon Gonzalezs short, quick shot in the 73rdth minute got Brant Buckner to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Ezra Coffey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Marlon Camacho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 77th match minute, Lex FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dario Grover to maneuver through the defense. Marlon Camacho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ezra Coffey, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Leonard Rodriquez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Brant Buckner read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. Marlon Camacho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gregory Nolan in the 94th minute of the match. When Jon Gonzalez came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Lex FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jon Gonzalez couldn't finish the play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Lex FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
