After a defensive mix-up in Manheim FC's zone, Timothy Aviles stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Parker Sherwood came out of the goal and Timothy Aviles tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Kenny Ring had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Garrett Chan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Parker Sherwood tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Parker Sherwood took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kenny Ring, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 37 minutes into the match, Manheim FC's goal looked a bit too open when Kenny Ring came free, but Parker Sherwood reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 41st minute of the game. One of Ducks:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Manheim FC:s goal. The referee gave Manheim FC a penalty, 44 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Brian Loyd, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Ducks's Troy Reyes. 2-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Timothy Aviles made a kick off. After 53 minutes Manheim FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Kenny Ring who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Ducks's Kenny Ring to fire away a dangerous shot which Parker Sherwood despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Kenny Ring fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Parker Sherwood having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Timothy Aviles managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ducks may have spent more time on the ball, but Manheim FC were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
