The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Brent Walter showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 13 played minutes Kailua FC got a freekick which was hit by Arnoldo Hargrove. Tod Lockwood made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Graig Mejia sent off a good shot on target. Warren Borden received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Brent Walter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Kailua FC's Graig Mejia, in the 23rd minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Kailua FC. Tod Lockwood made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnoldo Hargrove in the 26th minute of play. Binghamton AFC's Tod Lockwood played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnoldo Hargrove in the 28th minute of play. After having played for 29 minutes, Graig Mejia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kailua FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Graig Mejia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Terrance Potts received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Brent Walter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Warren Borden sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arnoldo Hargrove was the one to do the kick off. Arnoldo Hargrove struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Tod Lockwood didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kailua FC. If Graig Mejia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Graig Mejia blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tod Lockwood having to make a save. A collision led to Binghamton AFC getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Arnold Rosa hit a great ball. 60 minutes into the match, Arnoldo Hargrove had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tod Lockwood. Binghamton AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arnoldo Hargrove was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. After 64 played minutes Kailua FC got a freekick which was hit by Graig Mejia. Terrance Potts could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Brent Walter made a huge save. A collision led to Kailua FC getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Don Small hit a great ball. Terrance Potts's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 67thth minute, Brent Walter skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Brent Walter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Warren Borden, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 73 minutes, Garrett Delaney mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Binghamton AFC and the Kailua FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 73rd minute, Garrett Delaney hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 75th minute of the match Dylan Whittington shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tod Lockwood showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 78th minute Warren Borden shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brent Walter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 81 minutes, Ron Easley mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kailua FC and the Binghamton AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Graig Mejia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tod Lockwood having to interfere. 93 minutes into the game, Kailua FC's Graig Mejia nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tod Lockwood made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Kailua FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
